Even This Will Change by Allegra Jordan is a reflection of her personal journey through a time of significant transition. In the span of just a few short months, she became a young mother and experienced the devastating loss of a parent to suicide. These experiences shook her to her core and left her feeling like she was free-falling, consumed by panic and uncertainty.
Through six pieces, she aims to explore the connection between her past and present, to capture the essence of her own identity within life's changes, and to find a sense of home within herself. She hopes to convey the thread of continuity that remains when life falls apart and begins to piece itself back together.
As she explores the power of vulnerability and the healing that comes with growth, she hopes to give voice to the tender reality of grief and to embrace every change along the way. This is her story, and she hopes that her work resonates with others who may be struggling to find their own sense of continuity and belonging amidst life's many changes.
Be sure to stop by the opening reception on June 10 at 6 p.m. Super Secret Projects is open daily from 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
