1. Blippi the Musical

Wednesday, March 2 at 6:00 p.m. at Majed J. Nesheiwat Convention Center, Poughkeepsie

Blippi the Musical brings the energetic and loveable character Blippi off the screen and onto the stage with world-class production, audience engagement and amazing music. Children from the ages of 2 to 7 years old across the world have quickly taken a liking to Blippi’s charismatic personality and innovative teaching lessons! 2. Dutchess County St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Saturday, March 5 at 1:00 p.m. in Wappingers Falls

Enjoy the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in the town of Wappingers Falls. This year’s Grand Marshall is Joseph Corrigan. The parade will route from W Main St. and finish at Messeri Park. For more information, click here.   


3. Souper Chef Weekend at Millbrook Vineyards & Winery

March 5 -6 &12-13 at Millbrook Vineyards & Winery, Millbrook 

On winter weekends from January through March, Millbrook Vineyards & Winery will feature a hearty soup, chili or chowder prepared by a local Dutchess County chef. 5. Harvey Fierstein: I Was Better Last Night 

Friday, March 11 at 8:00 p.m. at Fisher Center, Annandale-on-the-Hudson

A poignant and hilarious memoir from the cultural icon, gay rights activist and four-time Tony Award-winning actor and playwright, Harvey Fierstein, I Was Better Last Night reveals never-before-told stories of his personal struggles and conflict, of sex and romance and of his fabled career. This is a live, in-person, indoor performance. Per Bard College guidance, proof of vaccination and booster for all those who are eligible will be required for admittance. 6. Bruce Molsky at the Stissing Center

Saturday, March 12 at 8:00 p.m. at the Stissing Center, Stissing

Bruce Molsky will make his third appearance at The Stissing Center, but this time alone on guitar performing music from his latest CD, Everywhere You Go. This new album is a riveting departure from a decades-long career dominated by Appalachian-style fiddle. “Everywhere You Go" his first solo guitar album, combines musical influences from across the globe to create a project sure to cement Molsky’s reputation as one of the great multi-instrumentalists of our time. 7. Bardavon Presents “A League of their Own”

Friday, March 18 at 7:30 p.m. at Bardavon, Poughkeepsie  
Celebrate Women’s History Month with Bardavon during a special screening of “A League of Their Own.” A look at the first women’s professional baseball league focuses on the rivalry between sisters on the same team. This beloved comedy, not only celebrates women in baseball but continues to serve as an inspiration to women today. A mini-concert with Juan Cardona, Jr. on the Mighty Wurlitzer Organ will take place 30 minutes before each film and is made possible by the New York Theater Organ Society (NYTOS). 8. Maple Weekend at Soukup Farms 

March 19- 20 & 26-27 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Soukup Farms, Dover Plains

9. Sunrise Stroll at Walkway Over the Hudson

Sunday, March 20 at 6:30 a.m. at Walkway Over the Hudson 

Celebrate the start of spring with a stroll on the Walkway. Enjoy the sunrise and spectacular views of the Hudson River as the sun ascends in line with the bridge deck. The east and west gates to the Walkway will open at 6:30 a.m. Don’t forget to bring your camera! Due to COVID-19, there will be no group walk to the center overlook as in years past. Please observe all applicable CDC guidelines and wear a face covering, avoid crowding, and social distance as appropriate. For more information, click here


10. 9th Annual Chili Festival 

Sunday, March 27 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Villa Borghese, Wappingers Falls 

Save the date for the Hudson Valley’s most popular Chili Festival! Local restaurants will be serving up their prize chili and other specialties such as cheeses, ice cream, cornbread, wine, beer and desserts! Meat and vegetarian chilis will be available.
